Balloon Inflation
Get a behind-the scenes experience to explore the art of inflation
Inflating a hot air balloon is an art, requiring skill, precision, and an understanding of physics. Check out all the balloons!
The average set up time for the big hot air balloon is anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes, depending on the size of the balloon. Hot air balloons are typically inflated in early morning or late afternoon because these times offer the most stable atmospheric conditions and often the calmest winds, which are ideal for ballooning.
While the basic concept is straightforward - heating air to make it lift - the actual process of inflation involves a combination of technical knowledge, practical skills and appreciation for the force of nature. Come join us for a behind-the-scenes experience to explore how inflation teams prepare the large hot air balloons.

Experience details:
A tethered ride experience is a controlled experience where a hot air balloon is anchored to the ground with strong cables, allowing it to rise into the sky while remaining fixed in one location. The balloon is slowly lifted to a height between 10 and 20 metres, giving passengers the thrill of rising up and soaking in those beautiful views—all while being safely tethered to the ground.
Each ride lasts a few minutes, with a view and experience lasting a lifetime.
There will be a certified pilot in the balloon basket controlling the experience. One balloon can accommodate up to 2-4 passengers (depending on height and weight) on a tethered ride experience, so you may be sharing the experience with other passengers.
