Our event is 3.5 days in total and as follows:

4th Sept: 16:00-22:30

5th Sept: 07:00-12:00 & 16:00-22:30

6th Sept: 07:00-12:00 & 16:00-22:30

7th Sept: 07:00-12:00 & 16:00-22:30

There are two sessions daily, 05:30-07:00 and 17:00-18:30, weather permitting. Visitors can watch the display or take a tethered balloon ride. (Actual starting and ending time might vary depending on weather conditions.)

If you had won a ticket from a campaign, it will be a physical ticket. Please present it at the check-in gate.

No, your ticket entitles you to a single entry only of the date and period specified on the ticket.

Yes, you may be asked to your present your ID.

Due to the city environment, it is not possible to completely fly a hot air balloon at our venue. However, tethered hot air balloons which "fly" to the extent of floating up and down within a designated airspace will be deployed.

Tethered hot air balloons are allowed to go to a maximum of 30.5m (100ft). Mini hot air balloons are allowed to float as high as 10m (32ft).

However, the maximum height is dependent on weather and government permissions. Balloons may all be grounded and not float if weather conditions do not allow for it.

Ultimately, the safety of guests is our paramount concern.

No. Although we would love include your wonderful furry friends, as hot air balloons burners generate high frequencies, animals are bound to be frightened and may act undesirably. For the safety of your pets and also other guests, we are unable to allow the entry of pets to the event.

This is how you get to HABFest:

From Admiralty

From the station, take exit A and head towards Tamar Park. Walking distance is approximately 10 minutes to main entrance.

From Central: From the station, take exit A of Central station or exit A2 of HK Station. Walk towards the harbourfront, crossing any sky bridges as needed. Walking distance is approximately 12 minutes to main entrance.

For Taxi:

Alight from the Star Ferry taxi drop off and walk straight ahead. Approximately 4-6 minutes walking gets you to the main entrance.

Weather permitting, we hope that during the estimate peak display times of 17:30-18:30, there can be a combination of 4 regular hot air balloons and 8 mini hot air balloons on display. More balloons could be deployed depending on the weather and space at the venue. Balloons will be inflated or deflated as directed by our safety officer. It may be possible that no regular hot air balloons are inflated at all, due to safety concerns.

No, it is not required as long as your are able to present a scannable code.

There is absolutely no smoking allowed inside the venue as per Hong Kong government regulations. No smoking sites will be allocated on site as there may be a possibility of fuel accumulation on site due to unburned fuel from the hot air balloons.

There are plenty of F&B options at our event and there is no need to bring your own!

However, if you are coming with children, we understand they may have special dietary needs.
